The Veda Patasala, founded in Chennai in 2015 with just two students, was relocated to Kumbakonam in 2016 and has since grown significantly. It currently trains students ranging in age from 6 to 16, focusing on traditional Vedic and Sanskrit studies. Students are taught the Krishna Yajur Veda. Some have completed higher secondary of Vedic learning, such as Padam and Kramam, ensuring a strong grasp of these ancient texts.

Sanskrit is also an integral part of the curriculum, taught by Sri. P. Venkatesh, a highly qualified Mimamsa-shiromani, known for his expertise. In addition to Vedic studies, students are also encouraged to pursue formal education, with seven of them successfully completing their SSLC examinations in 2023. Vaktha, Srotha Pariksha

Sri Mantra Peeteswari Veda Patasala operates in an ancient Gurukulam style and the curriculum of a Patasala (traditional school) is distinct from that of a regular school.

Children primarily learn Veda with a focus on Aaharam (food habbits), Vyavahaaram (Behavioural aspects) and Aacharam which are closely related to the traditional methods of teaching and understanding the Vedas. Discipline is inherently developed through this Gurukula system.
